A lot has happened since my last post. Check out below what we are working on!

"Under the Lord's leading, we have recently returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic, where there are nearly 1 million Haitian refugees. The level of poverty in most of these communities is even worse than in Haiti, because they are heavily discriminated against and not many people are helping them. In June, we will send our five older kids to an intense 4-6 months of language and missionary training in Nicaragua. Here, they will learn English, Spanish, Bible, and life skills. They will spend 4 days a week in school, and two days in hands-on ministry in surrounding communities. They will be taught under the guidance of Farrell Burton and Steve Horne, and will be enrolled in a ministry and Christian language school. Upon completion, the five young adults will graduate with the ability to speak 3 languages - Spanish, English and Creole- as well as have a grasp of the Bible and ministry training. After completing this intense training, they will return to these Haitian communities in the Dominican Republic along with us, to minister to the people there. They are all very excited about this opportunity...as are we!"

Become a Monthly Sponsor

Here is a way to help us out and make a huge difference in the life of a child. We have recently finished our second level and have plans to take in some more children into our home. We need more monthly sponsors to make this possible.

We have a goal of 20 new sponsors in February. This is a big goal for our ministry and we realize we can't do it unless God provides...and we know He can! Would you consider becoming a monthly sponsor of P127 Haiti? With a $30 a month suggested donation, you will help provide food, clothing, a Christian home, school, and caretakers to a child in need. Maybe your church would like to become more involved in international missions. If so, we would love to come and speak to you on a Sunday morning, night, or Wednesday night. It would be an honor for us to come and share about Haiti and what the Lord is doing there. We could provide information about Haiti, our ministry, what we do in Haiti, and how you can be involved. New Year

Welcome to 2011. At the start of each new year, I am reminded of the fresh sense of renewal that we find with the Lord. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for us and for Project 127 Haiti in 2011. We have some awesome things planned for the year, so keep checking back in to see what is happening.
