November 2010

I just returned from Haiti with a small team of pastors and leaders. We hadn't planned it this way, but we were able to be there during Hurricane Tomas. We spent a lot of time in prayer for our children, and for the rest of Haiti, that the storm would not do much damage. According to the original projections from the storm, Aquin was set to be in the direct path of the eye of Tomas but thankfully it passed well west of Aquin. It started raining on Wednesday night and rained on and off through the night, all day Thursday and Thursday night, and throughout the day Friday. There was a lot of flooding near the children's home and elsewhere, but thankfully, we suffered no real damage. We saw first hand the power of prayer and how the damage was very minimal throughout Haiti, compared with what the projections were. Praise the Lord! Please watch some of the videos I took on my recent trip.
