June Haiti Update

Hello again everyone! I hope this update finds you all well. I am pleased to bring you another update on our ministry in Haiti.

We just hosted two missions groups at our orphanage in Haiti. We had 28 people there from the 11th-18th, and 11 people there from the 18th-25th. We were all able to come together and get lots of work done for our kids, and more importantly for Jesus Christ. We built new bunk beds, new showers, new benches for the youth shack (church), a new closet, and a chicken coup. We also installed a solar pump on our well. I want to say a thank you to everyone involved for helping us to accompish so much in two short weeks.

We also held worship services almost every night. We sang songs, did crafts, sang more songs, and gave the gospel message. We saw many people receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. We showed the Jesus film one Friday night and had almost 600 in attendance. It was such a joy to see their enthusiasm for learning about Jesus.

Our kids at the orphanage are continuing to change their community. They have finished school for the summer and have amped up their Wednesday night services to try and bring more kids in.

Praise the Lord for the work He is accomplishing in Haiti. Without your help and prayers, it would not be possible. We ask that you would pray how God could continue to use you in this ministry. The slow down of the economy has unfortunately hurt our incoming support as well. We still have a large shortfall for the coming month of July (almost $1500 to be exact). If you would like to participate in this, email me at steve@project127.org or mail it to Project 127, PO Box 321 Harrisburg, NC 28075.

God bless you all,
Steve Horne
