Well Update / January Mission Trip
Hello again everyone. I wanted to give another update on how things are going in Haiti. The kids are all doing great. They are very excited and anxious about moving into their new orphanage and enrolling in their new school. Still, the only thing holding us up is getting the well drilled at the orphanage. I spoke with the company that is going to drill for us and they came out and looked at the property to get an idea about the drilling location. Because of all the rain from Tropical Storm Noel, there are now huge ruts in the road, where the water ran off the mountain. They are going to have to let the road dry out more, and then come in with a dozer to fix the road before they can get their drilling rig to the property. This means more time and more money, but we still hope to have the well finished by the first or second week of December. I will be back in Haiti the last week of November meeting with the company again to assess the situation. We also hope to move most of the furniture and belongings to the orphanage so it will be ready as soon as the well is finished.
We will be taking our first missions group in to the new orphanage the week of January 20-26th, 2008. We still have several spots open, so if you are interested, email me at steve@project127.org ASAP for more details. You don't want to miss out on this exciting adventure. We will spend the week doing some painting and work projects, as well as evangelism and outreach in the community.
Please keep praying for these kids and their new home!
